As part of the week-long Sugarcane Training Program organized by the Sugarcane Research & Development Board (SRDB) from 19th to 27th June 2025, a one-day training session was held at the University of Sargodha on 20th June 2025.
The session brought together a diverse group of participants, including agronomy staff from sugar mills, researchers and academia, farmers and growers, extension officers, and students. The training focused on sharing modern cultivation techniques, improving crop productivity, and strengthening collaboration between industry and academia for sustainable sugarcane development.
This event was part of SRDB’s ongoing efforts to enhance capacity building and knowledge exchange across Punjab’s key agricultural universities, with other sessions hosted at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, MNS University of Agriculture Multan, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, and Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology.
