The more you can get your arms to do, the less your back will have to strain. Slowly raise your arms over your head and lay them on the bed.


It makes the task of getting out of bed much easier on your back and the rest of your body. Complete the maneuver by putting your hands on your thighs and extending your back up as you push yourself up and out of the bed. So to insure a safe and restful evening, use this technique in reverse to get back into bed. Although, you are welcome to do that (by using them in spelling out a word or some such), you may also relate the letters to a color, quilting technique or project type.
